Jail Inmates Scam the IRS

Only in South Florida! As we residents say.

If you've taken my tour you've heard the good and bad of this diverse city. The bad is usually associated with corruption. Not much has changed since the 1930's.

There's perpetual news of fraud since I moved here in 1997 from the imaginative scams ranging from selling bogus concert tickets to makeshift cosmetic surgery centers that are unlicensed, to scammers dressed in police uniforms knocking on your door to gather your sensitive personal data.

Here's another one to add to the list where jail inmates scam the IRS and receives thousands of dollars in phony refunds! It could have been less but the government was slow to act.
